4. Cold resistance

Usually, the higher the content of nitrile group in nitrile rubber, the higher the glass transition temperature, and the cold resistance becomes worse. The glass transition temperature of hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals is not only affected by the content of nitrile group, but also related to the iodine value (hydrogenation rate). When the acrylonitrile content is less than 34%, the glass transition temperature increases with the increase of hydrogenation rate. When the content of nitrile group is high, the glass transition temperature does not change significantly with the increase of hydrogenation rate.

5. Processability and adhesion

The processing performance of hydrogenated NBR seals is better than fluorine rubber, and similar to ordinary NBR seals, it can be filled with more fillers. The bonding properties of hydrogenated nitrile rubber with sulfur vulcanization are much higher than peroxide vulcanization, because the sulfur in the rubber is easy to react with fiber or metal materials.
